CRAFT - call for entries

If contemporary craft and design is your thing and you’re looking for new ways of showcasing and promoting your work to buyers, then next year’s CRAFT event may just be for you.
Handmade in Britain and Clarion Events have come together to create the UK’s first trade event for designer makers.
The event which is due to take place from the 12-14 January 2014 at London’s Earls Court, will provide a unique opportunity for 100 leading makers and artisans to meet directly with an audience of international retailers and professional buyers and collectors.
Whilst the event itself may be quite a few months away, the call for entries is open now and will accept applications until 28th June 2013.
So who can apply to exhibit? Well, the organisers are seeking applications from designer makers and artisans in the following areas:
fashion design & accessories, textiles, interior design & accessories, glass, jewellery, furniture, stationery,metalwork, ceramics, sculpture, woodwork, prints and etchings.

Whilst there are many events for designers and makers to showcase and sell their creations to the public, until now there hasn’t been anything quite like this targeted at commercial traders - so hats off to the organisers.
