Panzly - innovation in flight insurance

A look at Panzly, the innovative InsurTech startup that's created the 1st flight insurance for delays or cancellations with automatic and immediate payouts.
Most of us have experienced delayed flights or even cancelled ones. It is annoying, inconvenient, and costly. Not only does it often mean paying out more for hotels, taxis, or just another drink while we wait, but airlines do their best to get out of refunding passengers and take as long as they can about it when they do. Instead of waiting months and filling in forms and jumping through hoops, wouldn’t it be nice to get your money back as soon as the airline has failed you - when you need it?
Lucky for you, InsurTech startup Panzly thinks the same. The Panzly platform is simple and invaluable. Before you fly (obviously), you enter your flight details into the app and it will use the details to give you a personalised insurance rate.
The example given on the website is a $5 fee to cover you for $50. After that, if your flight is cancelled or delayed by 2 hours or 
more, Panzly will automatically and immediately pay your compensation into your bank account.
No need to spend time claiming or filling in forms, and there are no convenient (for them) exclusions to the payout - if it is delayed, you’re paid. That isn’t their slogan, but it should be. So you’ll know you have the funds for that hotel room you now need!
Panzly is a finalist in the Travel Technology Europe Disrupt Launchpad and Awards 2019, the finals of which will be held on 20-21 February in London’s Olympia.
